Mark answers the Liberty Candidate questions below:

I) Re. the U.S. Financial System:
What is your view of the monetary system in the U.S. today?

Must change, anything based on centralization of power and a monopoly is horrible and ripe for corruption.

What corrective actions could we take right now to improve the economy?

Reduce regulation, cut government costs, lower taxes…build a new economic foundation (a monetary system that is free-market based/competition)

Do you agree with the actions the Federal Reserve has taken to solve the financial crisis?

No

If not, what could the Fed have done differently?

Let the market handle it and quit kicking the can by borrowing from the future and robbing from the people who save $…let the prices come down to their real value

Should the Federal Reserve be audited fully, no secrets, or does it need to keep some information under wraps?

Absolutely…it is the core of all our problems both socially and fiscally.

II) Re. Foreign Policy:
What is your opinion on current US foreign policy?

Horrible, bring the troops home

How should we fight a “war on terror”?

Profile…why search granny when obviously she’s not likely to have a bomb..and pull out of the middle east!

Should the U.S. occupy other countries?

No

If not, would you push to close all bases?

75% of them should be closed

Are there any you would keep open?

Not sure…running at county level for now :)

Should the U.S. maintain its standing army?

For a while after pulling out of middle east in case we’re attacked.

Is the Patriot Act necessary to protect America?

Heck NO

If not, would you vote to repeal it?

Absolutely!

III) Re. Personal Liberty:
What information may the U.S. government legally gather about its citizens?

NONE

When would it be necessary to overstep those boundaries?

NEVER…we’ll deal with it in other ways. No shortcuts

What limits, if any, should be placed on the U.S. government’s ability to search its citizens without a warrant?

Should NOT be allowed! NEVER!

Ought the U.S. government be allowed to protect its citizens’ health by outlawing foods it considers unsafe, or to force medicate (i.e.,
fluoridation) or force vaccinate citizens?

No maybe in Nazi Germany

What controls, if any, should be placed on the right to own a gun?

None, they’re going to find a way to get one anyway

Is there an effective way to keep guns out of the hands of madmen and criminals without encroaching on the rights of free, law-abiding citizens?

If anything it should be up to the one selling it. Perhaps something at the state level but that’s it

IV) Re. U.S. Sovereignty:
Is our involvement in and subjugation to global organizations, such as WHO, NATO, the UN, etc., a benefit to U.S. citizens?

NO!

Would you work to repeal international agreements that purport to hold U.S. citizens and/or property under its jurisdiction, or do you think there might be times when benefits outweigh concessions?

YES

Are trade agreements with other nations, i.e., NAFTA, CAFTA, good for U.S. citizens?

NO, not to the extent that I know

Should the U.S. give foreign aid to other countries?

No, this should be handled by churches and civic groups only.

If yes, for what purposes would it be justified?

N/A

If not all countries, which would you continue to support?

None

V) Re. State Sovereignty:
When does state law take precedent over federal law?

Always, Article I Section VIII is all the feds can do

Would you stand up to the federal government and demand that it stay within the bounds of its enumerated powers and out of state business?

Oh, I plan on it…from the county level I’ll be raising the issue.

Do federal officers have the right to arrest non-military citizens within the individual states for any crimes?

NOPE…NEVER

VI) Illegal Immigration:
What do you see as the #1 problem with illegal immigration?

It’s illegal and unfair for legal citizens…it distorts the work marketplace

What actions could we take to stop illegal immigrants from taking advantage of social services?

Work to assure benefits are not given to illegals to draw them in.

VII) Misc. Questions:
If you could make one amendment to the U.S. Constitution, what would it be?

Be more clear on the Interstate Commerce Clause

Would you vote to end government subsidies to private industry?

YES

What should our government’s action be against Julian Assange, if any?

Let him alone!

Do you know what Agenda 21/Sustainable Development and the Communitarian agenda is?

I’m learning more.

Do you support it?

NO!

Why or why not?

It will destroy private property rights
